some small interior additions

three new shelves in guest room

a couple of accessories were added in our small work space

 our bedroom got new bedding and night stands from 4' Ikea  shelves. it looks nice and clean

we bought these coffee tables in Ikea also. we cut one to get something more interesting as only one table.

pavers

this week we replaced our temporary pavers with poured concrete ones.

 as usual, i excavated tons of rocks that will be used for landscaping.

 after the forms were done i scheduled mixer and couple friends to wheelbarrow concrete to forms.

 next day we installed sod.

living room tv cabinets

we got 4 low cabinet frames that will go along the wall. two on the sides had to be modified to fit the room width.

 portion of the cabinets in both corners had to be cot off.

since there is no space to run your cables we had to do a little hack. cabinets are held 4" off the wall to create cavity for all the cables. 

than we used kitchen plinth to create removable cover, that covers the gap. now we can add as many cable holes in the plinth as we need. looks very clean, no cables to mess with.

 now with the frames, they could stay open or be covered. we left some of them open for electronics and  used  shelves with high gloss panels for rest of them. drawers were located asymmetrically. shelf was also hung to the right of tv to eliminate symmetry even more.

 also some cabinets were added behind the sofa.

looks very nice, we are quite pleased with the outcome.

another ikea trip

we are off to salt lake again for more furniture for living room and bedrooms. 16 hours of driving in 2 days, here we come.

fully packed all the way to the ceiling and ready to leave. still 8 hours to go to get home.

dining room table

we repainted our black dining table. it is nice but quality of paint is not the best so probalby it will not stay there too long. good thing is that we are only using this table on chrismas.

grass is growing

finally our grass is beautiful. we got the same grass from seeds as would be sod and we saved so much.

new sofa

we got a new sofa. now we have a plans to buy some cocktail table and furniture under tv. probably we will go again to ikea in salt lake city.
